Background Information

Whereas the need for creating a forum of collective action and consultation on matters of common interest, as well as enhancing the spirit of ecumenical cooperation in humanitarian and development activities among refugees, returnees, IDPs, people with disabilities, and the host communities in border areas hosting those groups categorized as the most vulnerable people in the society in the Republic of South Sudan. Compassion & Sustainable Development Africa (C+SDA) was formally established in the year 2022 by concerned citizens to serve these most vulnerable people by rendering humanitarian, development, and fostering peace as a nexus approach to programming in South Sudan and Sudan within the liberated area.

Scope of Operation

Ruweng Administrative Area/Unity State, Upper Nile State, Central Equatoria State, and the Two Areas (Blue Nile and Nuba Mountains regions of Sudan) are the geographical mandatory scope for C+SDA, with a commitment to work in any of the attached Payams and Counties of those states as it may deem necessary.

C+SDA is a non-governmental organization, a non-profitable faith-based humanitarian, and development organization.

C+SDA is registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) as a national NGO.
